SEPTEMBER 10th UPDATE

Hi folks,
Well, its officially go time for the season.  We hope everyone is as excited as we are:)
This week we have the full club back in the water.  We would like to send a warm welcome to all of our new members.
Most of our competitive athletes will be in the water Sunday September 11th in Brantford.
11u and 13u’s are in the water from 4:00-5:30. 15u’s and older should be at the pool ready to work at 4:30 and in the water right at 5:00PM going until 7:00pm.

Swim and Play ball athletes will be in the water for the first time on Tuesday September 13th at Laurier: 5:00-6:30OPM, Wednesday September 14th at Laurier: 6:30-8:00pm. Everyone will be at Game day Saturday September 17th at Jimmy Thompson Game Times are still TBD.

For our returning players it is critical that we work hard to welcome our new members.  Everyone certainly remembers the first time they walked out on the pool deck for a water polo practice.  Remember a friendly hello and a little bit of encouragement goes a long way in making someone feel welcome)

Schedule

Schedule is online on the website.
We are waiting for the City to finalize our last few changes (no days just some times).

Communication

We are moving to a web based communication routine.  Weekly communication will be put directly on our website in the Parents Section.  Emails will still be sent for now.  But will only highlight any important announcements.

Team managers needed

We are in need of team managers for:11u13u15u boys15u girls
This is super important to the success of our program.  Throughout the clubs history it is apparent that when teams have strong team managers those teams have greater opportunity and success.  This role is also very important in assisting with communication during the season.

Youth coaches needed

We really need some of our senior athletes to step up and help with swim and play ball programming.   This is a great opportunity for volunteer hours and we also have a few paid positions available. Please speak to your coaches if you are interested.

Work Flow

We will be spending this week tidying up the google calendar and plugging in games and tournaments. We will then turn our attention to any outstanding Ramp issues. We recognize how busy everyone is so our number 1 priority is finalizing our schedules so people can plan accordingly.

Finally….Back to dry land

We should see a large number of our competitive group tomorrow.  For our older athletes please arrive with clean running shoes, a dry land workout will be ready on the board.
Looking forward to the start of the season.  We will be putting a big emphasis on physical fitness this season.  With covid restrictions in the rear view we will be returning and recommitting ourselves to dry-land training before practices.

Cannot Wait to see everyone on deck
