HAWPC NOV 7TH-NOV 13TH
DEC 5, 2023
What an awesome weekend!! The athletes all did great at the Andrew Watson Tournament in Guelph, and our 15U’s worked really hard at their KW Scrimmage. Thanks to all of our athletes who worked so hard this past weekend, along with our coaches, and parents who put in some long days to make it all happen.
Big thanks to HAWPC’s own 2008 Olympian Nic Yongblood who took time out of his busy schedule and attended the Swim and Play Ball/15U Rec game day at Jimmy Thompson on Saturday.
Schedule
This week is a regular week with all regular scheduled practices happening at the normal times. The Google calendar has been updated and reflects the week ahead.
Teams and Coaches
We are thrilled to announce that our numbers are such that we have Club representation across all of the age groups in the OPL (11U, 13U, 15U boys and 15U girls). Coming out of 2 years of covid this is truly an amazing accomplishment. This achievement could not have been done without our amazing coaches and Board who have all worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic in keeping our athletes in the water and engaged.
With the first tournaments happening for all teams we have finalized our numbers and will be finalizing permanent coaching assignments this week and next.
As the coaches are assigned we will explore better ways to communicate and engage in relation to specific team messaging. The Club recognizes how important having a designated coach is for both the athletes and parents. With that said the Club also recognizes the importance of having the right coach in place. We appreciate everyone’s patience in relation to this.
Upcoming tournaments
PAUL TAYLOR is 2 weeks away and as soon as the schedule is finalized it will be emailed out.
The KW CLASSIC is happening on the 3rd and 4th of December. This is an OPL tournament and is for 15U, 13U and 11U.
If you are planning on attending please email: ancasterwaterpolo@gmail.com

AGM MEETING
Our AGM is taking place on November 16th at 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Laurier Pool. This is our first in person meeting in a long time. We are very excited to make contact with everyone again and several board positions will be opening. Enjoy the week looking forward to the final preparation in relation to Paul Taylor.
