Amazing first scrimmage for 17/19u who played Scarborough.  Very busy weekend coming up with Mavericks Cup happening for 17U and gameday happening for 13U.

 as usual this week with a slight change Sunday.  Everything is up on the Google calendar.  As a result of Mavericks Cup Sunday we will run a full competitive club practice FINISHING AT 6:00.  Dryland will happen at 3:30PM. 

We are continuing to look for playing  opportunities for our 15U’s.  This is without a doubt the group that has had the most longterm impact from the pandemic in relation to retainment in sport.  As always we are working hard to find teams to play. Passports

We are investigating the possibility of playing in the States this year to augment competitive playing opportunities.   This is a friendly suggestion that a passport will be needed if this happens.  This will specifically impact those in grade 12.

HAWPC OCT 17TH-23RD 2022

Extremely busy week up ahead with several schedule changes for our competitive athletes.  Apologies for the delay we was waiting for a few things to firm up in order to avoid multiple emails.  From now until Christmas it is Super Important to:

B. Check the google Calendar For parents with children who are able to read and or use a computer I encourage you to have your children check the schedule weekly.  It is a great opportunity for them to learn how to time manage:)

Saturdays 15u game day has been postponed: As a result no practice this Saturday for 15u boys. 

Sunday 17u games vs. Shadow are for 17u  and 19u athletes only.  Select 15u athletes will be notified if they are required please check with Tim or Pat. 

As a result of the game on Sunday 11U/13U and 15U practice is cancelled. 

13U/11U game day is fast approaching on OCTOBER 22ND. 4-7 at Wayne Gretzky.  Please email me if you are able to attend.  Grade 6,7,8 swim and play ball athletes are welcome to attend if they are interested in trying a more competitive playing experience.

I have very limited stock left and will be placing an order in the near future.I will be at the practice on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday to assist with sizing. I would like to have orders finalized by October 6.Anyone wanting/needing a suit please see Janeen at practice for sizing or contact Janeen at j.schaeffer@rogers.com

Please see sizing chart and NOTE measurements are in cm. Please suggest the most appropriate size for your daughter.If these sizes are too big and your daughter is U11/13 a plain black waterpolo purchased from anywhere would be fine.  If your daughter is not intending on playing in tournaments do not feel obligated to buy a suit. 

I will have some inventory throughout the season, but can not guarantee size availability.

Hello Hamilton Waterpolo Families! Ordering

We will be placing swim suit orders on October 11th for 2022/2023 season soon and want to share this size chart with you incase you plan to order on.  Please note, sizes change from year to year, and brand to brand.  After you measure, please email hodgson78@gmail.com with your order request.

Measuring I have some samples if you’d like to see and can tell you for reference Henrik is a size 30 on this style, even though he takes 32 in Speedo brand.  Another idea is to compare the suit you have (measure) and compare with size chart to get what you need.I strongly urge you to measure waist and hips to ensure a good fit.  No one wants a wedgie or for their suit to get pulled loose. All orders will be for black TR brand mens suit with HAWPC logo on it. Please see attached size chart for reference and let me know if you have any questions.

Hi folks,Another super busy week in the books.  Many games and events, coming up in October. Schedule is updated on our website and can be found under calendar and schedules.  The google calendar is updated weekly.  Some weeks practices will begin to change depending on competition and outside events at the pools.Also the emails which you are receiving are now captured on the website under News.  We will highlight any changes in the emails.  

October 16th:  17U/19U Game day Women vs. Scarborough @ Wayne Gretzky 4:00 -7:00 PM

October 16th: 17U/19U Game day Men vs. Scarborough @ Wayne Gretzky 4:00 – 7:00 PM (Men and women will alternate 30 minute segments over the 3 hours, this lessons the drive on Scarborough and Coaches)

We will run our practices in the same manner as the previous week.  Gameday will operate the same as well only our shallow end athletes will exit the pool at 10:00 AM:

Athletes who are in grade 6 and under in the water from 9:00-10:30 AM 

Athletes who are in grade 7 and older in the water from 10:30 – 12:00 PM  

No changes to the schedule this week.  We are asking that athletes start bringing a skipping rope with them to practice.  Also coaches would like athletes to wear proper indoor running shoes for dryland. 

Further we will be attempting to get our APEX dryland started on Monday before our swim.  If you are interested in participating please email ancasterwaterpolo@gmail.com.  This program will be at an extra cost ($15.00 per hour session) and will also involve 2 separate locations on Monday.  Apex is located 67 Frid St in the City of Hamilton.  

RDC nominations for the Club are in and more information should be made available this week.  Please note RDC might operate slightly differently this season.  For those who are not successful Ontario Water Polo will be providing additional training camps throughout the year as well.
