HI Folks, Hope everyone had a great Halloween.  Very busy week ahead, with some cancellations, tournaments and scrimmage opportunities for our athletes. 

For Swim and Play Ball athletes and 15U Rec athletes :

Athletes will be in the water at their normal times.  We apologize for the inconvenience last Saturday unfortunately with aging municipal infrastructure Pool issues happen.  We will make this time up at the end of the session. 

NO PRACTICES AT Wayne Gretzky THIS WEEKEND AS A RESULT OF A SWIM MEET. 

For those who are new and those who have only played during the pandemic this is a return to normal.  Throughout the year facilities will run events which will bump our regular time. 

As a result KW has been kind enough to invite our 

15U athletes to attend a Scrimmage on Sunday 10:00 AM to 11:30AM at Sir Wilfred Laurier Pool IN KITCHENER.

  Entry will process be the same as 13U Provincials.

This is a great opportunity to get some playing time before Paul Taylor. 

For 17U and 19U Aged Athletes Andrew Watson will be taking place Saturday.  

We are finalizing rosters and fees for Paul Taylor.  We are happy to say we will be represented at all levels.  Thanks to all the parents who emailed it makes it way easier to organize when we have numbers:) 

Look for an email later in the week regarding the KW classic which will take place on December 3rd and 4th in Kitchener.  This tournament is for 11u, 13u and 15u.

 We encourage parents to attend and enjoy the opportunity to meet. Presently our board is looking for new members to fill upcoming vacancies. Appointed board members can voice opinions and share thoughts, contributing to the growth of the club and success of our organization. The interests of the club remain consistent with the values developed over the years. New executive members will be supported by remaining board members.

Schedule Swim Play Ball is cancelled this Tuesday.

  Please feel free to attend Wednesday this week.  Sorry for the inconvenience. 

Weekend Practice has been moved to Saturday October 29th from 4:00-6:00 pm at Wayne Gretzky.   Please note we cannot be on deck until 350 pm.   The focus of this practice will be our 15u teams hopefully we will have lots of scrimmage time.  We really need our senior players to assist in the development of our 15U’S Please engage and mentor. 

We are hosting “the rise above water” event this Sunday.  This event is for female athletes only, born in 2008 and younger.  Athletes will attend a clinic with several national and ex-national team athletes should be an amazing event.to register please sign up on the link. RISE ABOVE WATER REGISTRATION 

A bit of a breather week so let’s work really hard this week to get ready for the upcoming tournaments.

HAWPC NEWS OCT 24TH TO 30TH

Amazing first scrimmage for 17/19u who played Scarborough.  Very busy weekend coming up with Mavericks Cup happening for 17U and gameday happening for 13U. 

Please let me know if you will be attending the games on the 22nd 13U gameday.  

 as usual this week with a slight change Sunday.  Everything is up on the Google calendar.  As a result of Mavericks Cup Sunday we will run a full competitive club practice FINISHING AT 6:00.  Dryland will happen at 3:30PM. 

We are continuing to look for playing  opportunities for our 15U’s.  This is without a doubt the group that has had the most longterm impact from the pandemic in relation to retainment in sport.  As always we are working hard to find teams to play. Passports

We are investigating the possibility of playing in the States this year to augment competitive playing opportunities.   This is a friendly suggestion that a passport will be needed if this happens.  This will specifically impact those in grade 12.

HAWPC OCT 17TH-23RD 2022

Extremely busy week up ahead with several schedule changes for our competitive athletes.  Apologies for the delay we was waiting for a few things to firm up in order to avoid multiple emails.  From now until Christmas it is Super Important to:

B. Check the google Calendar For parents with children who are able to read and or use a computer I encourage you to have your children check the schedule weekly.  It is a great opportunity for them to learn how to time manage:)

Saturdays 15u game day has been postponed: As a result no practice this Saturday for 15u boys. 

Sunday 17u games vs. Shadow are for 17u  and 19u athletes only.  Select 15u athletes will be notified if they are required please check with Tim or Pat. 

As a result of the game on Sunday 11U/13U and 15U practice is cancelled. 

13U/11U game day is fast approaching on OCTOBER 22ND. 4-7 at Wayne Gretzky.  Please email me if you are able to attend.  Grade 6,7,8 swim and play ball athletes are welcome to attend if they are interested in trying a more competitive playing experience.
